Crunchyroll has officially confirmed that it will stream the upcoming anime adaptation of Kagurabachi when it airs in April 2027.
The series will be available worldwide outside Japan, China, and Korea.
Alongside the streaming announcement, the staff unveiled new details for the anime’s international tour ahead of its April 2027 premiere.
Part 1 of the Kagurabachi Anime World Tour, which begins in July 2026, will now include an additional premiere screening at Otakon in Washington, D.C. The tour was previously announced with stops at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, Anime NYC, Japan Expo Paris, and AnimagiC in Germany.
Fans attending the events will get an early look at the series through a screening of the first 20 minutes of the anime’s debut episode months before its television premiere.
The staff also announced that Kagurabachi will host a panel at Anime NYC on Aug 22 on the Main Stage featuring anime producers Koichi Yasuda and Kenta Suzuki.
Kagurabachi anime is being adapted by Cypic (previously CygamesPictures), whose credits include Umamusume: Cinderella Gray and The Summer Hikaru Died.
Tetsuya Takeuchi (Sword Art Online II action animation director, Heavenly Delusion battle scene storyboard, episode director, and animation director) is directing the series, while Keigo Sasaki (Blue Exorcist, The Seven Deadly Sins) serves as character designer.
The protagonist Chihiro Rokuhira will be voiced by Taihi Kimura and veteran voice actor Tomokazu Seki will portray Kunishige Rokuhira.
Director Takeuchi had previously stated that he will deliver a show that both longtime fans of the manga and first-time viewers can enjoy.
Created by Takeru Hokazono, Kagurabachi began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2023 and quickly emerged as one of the magazine’s most talked-about new titles. The manga currently has over 4 million copies in circulation.
