My Hero Academia The Movie: World Heroes’ Mission Anime Reveals New Visual

The movie will cover an original story featuring Kōhei Horikoshi's characters.

The official website of My Hero Academia The Movie revealed a brand new key visual for the upcoming film “World Heroes’ Mission” on Monday. This is the third movie from the franchise production.

The official twitter account of “My Hero Academia The Movie: World Heroes’ Mission” also released a teaser on May 31st 2021. The movie will premiere on August 6th 2021, at Toho Movie Theatres all over Japan.

The film will feature an original story. Original manga creator Kōhei Horikoshi will again serve as chief supervisor and original character designer.

Kenji Nagasaki will return from the television series and two previous films in the franchise to direct the new film at BONES. Other returning staff members include scriptwriter Yousuke Kuroda, character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi, and composer Yuki Hayashi.

The series focuses on Izuku Midoriya, a young man who dreams to become a Hero despite being bullied by his violent childhood friend Katsuki Bakugo for lacking a Quirk. Both youths idolize one of the world’s greatest heroes All Might, who they both met with Izuku being one of few to know of a critical injury All Might has been concealing from the public eye to maintain morale. All Might also reveals the nature of his Quirk “One For All” and passes it down to Izuku to succeed him after seeing the youth’s determination in the face of danger. As Izuku begins his path to becoming a hero in attending U.A. High School alongside Bakugo and the friends they make in Class 1-A, a nemesis to the “One For All” users named All For One conditions his apprentice Tomura Shigaraki to destroy the current society and its heroes.
