Black Clover season 2 has revealed a new visual ahead of its Oct. 3 premiere, while Asta, Yuno and other characters from the anime have taken over Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo in a new promotional campaign.
The newly released pre-broadcast visual centers on the upcoming battles between protagonist Asta and the Dark Triad.
The visual highlights Asta alongside the three members of the Dark Triad: Dante Zogratis, Zenon Zogratis and Vanica Zogratis, who will serve as major antagonists in the second season.
Comments from the Dark Triad’s voice cast were also released alongside the visual.
Rikiya Koyama, who voices Dante, shared an acrostic poem using his character’s name, ending with a message telling viewers to keep their eyes on Dante as the new season begins.
“Dan” — As I gradually build my career,
“Te” — You think I’d cut corners? Of course not!
“Zo” — A spine-chilling, eerie laugh,
“Gu” — A transformation that reaches the height of grotesque,
“Ra” — The radiant light shining above my head,
“Ti” — A testament to my power, like a tiara!
“Su” — I’ll blow you away with an incredible battle!!And with that, it’s finally beginning.
You’d better keep your eyes firmly on Dante!!
Tatsuhisa Suzuki, who voices Zenon, said he was happy to return to the role and that he was able to bring out Zenon’s true potential this time. He asked viewers to look forward to seeing how that is expressed in the anime and said he hoped they would savor each scene.
Yui Ogura, who voices Vanica, described the 2nd Season as featuring more powerful battles and intense drama as the characters’ feelings collide.
“In the 2nd Season, I got the impression that there are even more powerful and exciting battles, as well as intense drama in which the characters’ feelings collide with one another. Vanica also has many memorable scenes, so I had to put quite a lot of energy into portraying her (laughs). Of course, I wanted to express her strength and dangerous nature, but above all, I approached the recording sessions hoping to fully convey what makes her Vanica, especially how she ‘genuinely enjoys fighting.’ I’m also very much looking forward to seeing what the finished anime looks like. I hope you’ll look forward to the broadcast and enjoy the 2nd Season all the way to the end!”

Black Clover Season 2 Ikebukuro Station Advertisement Campaign:
Additionally, according to the anime’s official X account, advertisements for Black Clover season 2 are being displayed along the central passageway of Ikebukuro Station.
The campaign features Asta, Yuno, Noelle, Yami and Nacht alongside messages highlighting their determination to never give up. The advertisements will remain on display through Oct. 4.
The promotional campaign comes as Black Clover prepares for its return following the conclusion of its first TV anime run in 2021.
Ayataka Tanemura is returning to direct Black Clover season 2. He previously directed episodes 153 through 170 of the original TV anime before going on to helm the 2023 film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King.
The original Black Clover anime concluded its four-year uninterrupted run on March 30, 2021, before entering an indefinite hiatus. Studio Pierrot paused production after the anime had nearly caught up with Yuki Tabata’s then-ongoing manga, leaving limited source material for the adaptation to continue at its existing pace.
