Berserk Chapter 384 Gets Release Date After Eight Month Break

Young Anime magazine confirmed in their official preview that Berserk manga will be returning in its upcoming issue.

The new chapter release information is coming eight months after the previous manga chapter released.

Berserk Chapter 384 will release on June 12, 2026 in Young Animal magazine’s issue#12. The magazine also confirmed that this will be first of the three consecutive issues in which Berserk manga will be published, meaning there is good chance of three new chapters releasing in the coming months.

The Berserk manga is currently in the Eastern Exile chapter of the Fantasia arc, as Guts and his party are captured by Kushan soldiers while attempting to flee from the destruction of Elfhelm. They are taken to the Kushan Empire, which finds itself in a perilous state thanks to Griffiths troops that have camped outside the empire.

Following a series of events, a despairing Guts is imprisoned by the oracle Daiba, who asks the Black Swordsman to look inside himself for answers. Guts’ current mental state was brought on by what transpired on Elfhelm, as Griffith kidnapped Casca in front of him.

The preview for chapter 384 reads, “What will Guts see in the darkness after being sealed in the shrine…?”

Berserk is a dark fantasy epic created by Kentaro Miura which began serialization in 1989. Following the author’s passing in 2021, the decision was made to continue the manga under the supervision of Miura’s close friend Koji Mouri and also his assistants from Studio Gaga.

While the assistants have noted that it will hard to faithfully reproduce Berserk as Miura intended, they did ask fans to be patient with them.

The manga’s chapter has currently been compiled into 43 volumes, and has over 70 million copies in circulation as of August 2025.

The manga’s setting and its story has received critical acclaimed and it is widely regarded as the best dark fantasy manga out there by fans.

The plot follows Guts, known as the Black Swordsman, looking to exact revenge on Griffith, the captain of the mercenary group he was previously a part of and also his friend.
