The remake anime THE ONE PIECE, produced by WIT Studio, is set to stream on Netflix starting February 2027, according to an announcement from the series’ official X account.
Season 1 will consist of seven episodes with a total runtime of approximately 300 minutes. All seven episodes will be released simultaneously on Netflix.
The first season will adapt roughly the first 50 chapters of the original manga by Eiichiro Oda, covering protagonist Monkey D. Luffy’s early journey through the East Blue saga up to his encounter with Sanji at the floating restaurant Baratie.
Ahead of the release, the production team also unveiled concept art for episode 1, offering a glimpse into Luffy’s childhood in Windmill Village.

Originally announced in 2023, THE ONE PIECE serves as a fresh adaptation of Oda’s long-running manga, aiming to retell the story with updated visuals and a modern production approach.
In a recent interview with the YouTube channel Ai Show, Shinji Wada explained that Eiichiro Oda supported revisiting the anime to better connect with newer audiences.
