An Hour-Long Panel Discussion On The New Dragon Ball Super Movie To Take Place At San Diego Comic-Con 2021

San Diego Comic-Con, the world’s largest pop culture convention, returns online this year with “Comic-Con@Home 2021.” And in this time, Dragon Ball has a special place amongst the events that are taking place. To celebrate Dragon Ball and the announcement of the upcoming Dragon Ball Super movie which is planned to hit the theatres in 2022, a special panel involving some key personalities will appear to talk about the new film.

On July 23rd, a non-stop panel discussion will take place in which the panelists will present all the juicy information as well as provide some behind-the-scenes insight into the production of the film. The time schedule for this particular event is as follows:

10 am – 11 am (US & Canada Time Zone)
10:30 pm – 11:30 pm (IST)
2 am – 3 am on July 24th (JST)

The panelists who will be present at Comic-Con are as follows:

  • The voice actor of Son Goku, Ms. Masako Nozawa
  • Mr. Akio Iyoku – The head of the Dragon Ball team at SHUEISHA who is also the Executive Producer of the series and editor for Akira Toriyama
  • Mr. Norihiro Hayashida – Producer of TV animation and movies for the Dragon Ball series including [Dragon Ball Super: BROLY]

Following the discussion, there’ll be a special live performance by Mr. Hironobu Kageyama, who has done tons of Dragon Ball music including the iconic opening theme song: Cha-La Head-Cha-La.

Throughout the event, there’ll also be a special Dragon Ball booth for fans to enjoy!

On Goku Day i.e., May 9th, 2021, The Dragon Ball official website made a surprise announcement of a new Dragon Ball Super movie that is set to release in 2022. There was a special comment by Akira Toriyama on the upcoming movie, mentioning the appearance of an unexpected character. There were a lot of speculations on who that character is going to be. It includes taking part in and supporting public presentations, conventions, exhibits, museums, and other public outreach events that commemorate comics’ past and ongoing contributions to art and culture.

The comic-con staff clarifies that the traditional Comic-Con in-person event in San Diego, normally held in July, has been postponed until summer 2022.
