Kyousuke Motomi’s Dengeki Daisy manga is finally getting a TV anime adaptation more than a decade after the shoujo series concluded its serialization.
The anime is slated to air in 2027, with Studio DEEN handling the animation production. The announcement was accompanied by the release of a teaser visual featuring the protagonists Teru Kurebayashi and Tasuku Kurosaki.

Motomi also shared an illustration celebrating the anime adaptation and expressed her excitement over seeing her characters brought to life on screen.
“I heard that Dengeki Daisy was getting an anime adaptation… but is it really true? Apparently, it really is true. This is incredible. The day has finally come when we’ll be able to see Teru and Kurosaki moving and speaking. I already can’t wait for the 2027 broadcast. To everyone on the anime staff, please take good care of Daisy.“

The staff for the adaptation was also revealed, with Sota Ueno directing the anime, Sawako Hirabayashi overseeing series composition, Ayaka Murakami designing the characters, and Masaru Yokoyama composing the music.
Director Ueno said he hopes the adaptation will capture the emotional complexity at the heart of the story, stating, “I hope to depict what it means to live together while carrying everything with us—trivial moments, precious moments, wounds that cannot be understood by others, pasts that can never be forgiven, and pasts that we ourselves cannot forgive. Every moment, time after time.“
Additional information regarding the cast and broadcast schedule for Dengeki Daisy is yet to be announced.
Dengeki Daisy was serialized in Shogakukan’s Betsucomi magazine from 2007 to 2013. Viz Media licensed the series for an English-language release in North America and describes the plot of the series as:
After orphan Teru Kurebayashi loses her beloved older brother, she finds solace in the messages she exchanges with DAISY, an enigmatic figure who can only be reached through the cell phone her brother left her. Meanwhile, mysterious Tasuku Kurosaki always seems to be around whenever Teru needs help… Could DAISY be a lot closer than Teru thinks?
