The official Twitter account of Netflix Anime announced on Oct 4, 2023, that Doraemon creator’s T・P BON (Time Patrol Bon) manga is getting its first ever anime adaptation by studio BONES to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Fujiko F. Fujio’s birth.
The anime will be exclusively streamed on Netflix in 2024, and will have 2 parts.
A teaser video and a visual were revealed to commemorate the announcement.
It was also revealed that Akihisa Wakayama will voice the protagonist Bon Namihira in the anime adaptation, while Atsumi Tanezaki will voice Ream Stream.
Masahiro Ando will serve as the director, with Michiru Oshima composing the music.
“T.P Bon” is a science fiction adventure series written by Fujiko F. Fujio. The first part of the manga was serialized in Ushio Publishing’s Monthly Shōnen World magazine in 1978-1979. Second part was serialized in 1980-1983, followed by a third part in 1984-1986.
