Bleach fans’ long wait for the epic Shinigami led series could finally be coming to an end. In the latest news related to the series, the Staff of AnimeJapan 2020 announced that something related to Bleach and manga creator Tite Kubo will be revealed at the event.
It was announced on Monday that a presentation named “Bleach 20th Anniversary Project and Tite Kubo New Work Presentation” will be hosted at the Bluebird stage on March 21. A new website, whose screen reads “Bleach- Face Again” was simultaneously opened and is related to the project.
According to Anime News Network, Voice actors Masakazu Morita and Ryotaro Okiayu, Weekly Shonen Jump editor-in-chief Hiroyuki Nakano, and America Zarigani comedy duo member Yoshiyuki Hirai will take part in the presentation.
No further details about the project have been released.
The announcement sent the Bleach fandom into a frenzy as they believe this could signal the revival of the long running hit series which featured Ichigo Kurosaki and his pals. The fans were so desperate for the series to start airing more episodes that they created a petition which was signed by over 100,000 people.
The final episode of Bleach was aired in 2012, while the Manga continued to run till August 2016.
AnimeJapan 2020 will be held at Tokyo Big Sight between 21st and 24th March. Several other franchises like “Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls Theater” and “Is the order a rabbit??” will be showcasing presentations at the event.
With the announcement being made, it seems like the right time to start a rewatch of the whole series. Bleach Anime is available to stream on both Crunchyroll and Netflix.
