On Tuesday Muse Asia announced that Baidu’s streaming service iQIYI will simulcast the Attack on Titan Season 4 anime. The series will start airing on December 7, 2020. In addition to Muse Asia, Aniplus-Asia will also air a simulcast of the anime.
The final season is animated by MAPPA. Yuichiro Hayashi (Dorohedoro, Garo the Animation, Kakegurui both seasons) is at the directorial helm. Hiroshi Seko (Ajin anime franchise, Vinland Saga, Mob Psycho 100 anime franchise) is reprising his role of scripting the series. Tomohiro Kishi (Dorohedoro, 91 Days) is heading the design of the characters. Hiroyuki Sawano is reprising his role compose the music. Alongside, Kohta Yamamoto (Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga, The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments) is accompanying him.
A film comprising important scenes of the first 3 seasons of the anime opened in Japan on July 17. Aniplus-Asia opened the film in Thailand and Singapore.
The first anime season aired in April 2013, and the second season in April 2017. The first part of the third season aired in July 2018. And the second half aired in Japan on the NHK General channel in April 2019.
The creator, Hajime Isayama, has announced that he wants to end the series and only 1-2% is left. The Attack on Titan is a monthly manga series. You can read on the Mangamo app launched by Sony.
