The Remarried Empress Gets Anime Adaptation Set For 2027 Release

The Remarried Empress is getting an anime adaptation in 2027, with TROYCA handling animation production.

A teaser promotional video, main cast and staff were revealed alongside the announcement.

The anime will feature Yoko Hikasa as Navier, Ryohei Kimura as Heinrey, Tomoaki Maeno as Sovieshu and Reina Ueda as Rashta, with character visuals for all four also unveiled.

Tetsuya Yanagisawa, known for Berserk of Gluttony and Highschool DxD, will direct the anime. Akiko Inoue, whose credits include An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess, is handling series composition and scripts.

Jun Nakai will design the characters, while Yuki Fukazawa will compose the music.

HAYATE, an anime production company jointly established by Aniplex and Crunchyroll, will produce the series.

The anime will be streamed on Crunchyroll in 2027 when it premieres.

Alphatart, HereLee and SUMPUL also shared newly drawn illustrations and handwritten messages to celebrate the adaptation.

The Remarried Empress is available on LINE Manga and has surpassed 2.97 billion views worldwide.

The platform is also holding a campaign offering 20 free chapters of the webtoon from Oct. 9 through Oct. 15 to commemorate the anime announcement.

The Remarried Empress began as a South Korean web novel by Alphatart, serialized on Naver Web Novel from November 2018 to March 2020. Its webtoon adaptation launched on Naver Webtoon in October 2019.

A live-action television adaptation is also scheduled to premiere in November 2026.
