The official Twitter account for Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app revealed on Tuesday that Ken Wakui’s Tokyo Revengers manga is inspiring a parody manga titled Tōdai Revengers (Tokyo University Revengers).
The parody manga will launch on Magazine Pocket on November 3. “Kindaichi Shonen’s Case Files Gaiden: Case Files of Criminals” manga artist Shinpei Funatsu will illustrate the new manga.
According to its description, the parody will be a time-travel comedy centering on the University of Tokyo.
Ken Wakui’s Tokyo Revengers manga began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2017. Kodansha published the manga’s 24th compiled book volume on September 17. The manga has topped 40 million copies in circulation.
Kodansha describes the plot of Tokyo Revengers as follows;

The only girlfriend he ever had was just killed by a villainous group known as the Tokyo Manji Gang. He lives in a crappy apartment with thin walls, and his six-years-younger boss treats him like an idiot. Plus, he’s a complete and total virgin … At the height of his rock-bottom life, he suddenly time-leaps twelve years back to his middle school days!! To save Hinata, and change the life he spent running away, hopeless part-timer Takemichi must aim for the top of Kanto’s most sinister delinquent gang!!
