The latest media guide released by Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform revealed that Yukinobu Tatsu’s Dandadan manga has reached 5 million copies in circulation.
The manga had hit 3.2 million copies with the 11th volume, and the number increased to 4 million by November 2024 with 17 volumes released.
The circulation started rising quickly once the anime adaptation started airing in October 2024. This was evident as the first four volumes of the manga ranked among the top 20 best selling manga in the United States in November 2024.

Dandadan anime produced by Science Saru is streaming on Netflix and Crunchyroll.
Fuga Yamashiro is serving as the director of the anime adaptation, with Hiroshi Seko in charge of scripts. Kensuke Ushio composed the music, Naoyuki Onda handled character designs, with Yoshimichi Kameda designing aliens and supernatural entities.
Creepy Nuts performed the opening theme song Otonoke.
Dandadan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service since April 2021, with its chapters collected into 17 tankobon volumes as of November 2024.
The series is simultaneously published in English and Spanish on Shueisha’s Manga Plus platform and in English on Viz Media’s Shonen
