Tokyo Revengers’ Draken Gets A New Voice Actor

The anime is set to release in January 2023.

The new PV for season 2 of Tokyo Revengers revealed that Ken Ryuguji aka Draken/Doraken of the series is getting a new voice actor. The previous voice actor Tatsuhisa Suzuki is getting replaced by Masaya Fukunishi.

The anime’s official website confirms this news and states that Fukunishi will be voicing Draken in the upcoming Blu-ray box, anime/movie broadcast, anime streaming, and other versions of the series from July.

Another member of the cast who is getting replaced is the art director, Manabu Otsuzuki. He’s being replaced by Rumi Matsumoto.

The second season of the anime is set to release in January 2023.

In addition, the TV Anime Tokyo Revengers event “Ainin Yumeka Ban 2nd Anniversary & Formation Memorial! Tokyo Revengers (Live)” was held on June 19 as previously reported.

The first “Tokyo Revengers Character Book Tenjo Tenka” was released on April 16, 2021, and the 2nd official character book “Tokyo Revengers Character Book 2 Baoryu Hara / Kuroryu Hen” was released on April 15, 2022.

Tokyo Revengers is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since March 2017. An anime television series adaptation by Liden Films aired from April to September 2021. A live-action film adaptation was released in Japan in July 2021.

As of January 2022, the manga had over 50 million copies in circulation. The manga won the 44th Kodansha Manga Award for the shōnen category in 2020. An anime television series adaptation by Liden Films aired from April to September 2021.

In December 2021, the Tokyo Revengers franchise announced, that the anime will get a new adaptation that will cover the manga’s “Seiya Kessen” (“Christmas Showdown”) arc.
