The official X account of Oshi No Ko announced on Feb 2, 2025, that the much anticipated third season of the anime will start airing in 2026.
Accompanying the announcement is a teaser visual focusing on Ruby with Aqua facing away from the camera. A commemorative video has also been revealed.
Season 1 of the anime, produced by Doga Kobo, aired its first 11-episode season from April to June 2023. A second 13-episode season aired from July to October 2024.
Daisuke Hiramaki directed the anime. The series composition was handled by Jin Tanaka and Kanna Hirayama was in charge of character designs.
Oshi No Ko manga was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump from April 2020 to November 2024, with its chapters collected in 16 tankobon volumes. It has been licensed for release in North America by Yen Press and is simultaneously published by Shueisha on their Manga Plus platform.
The manga officially concluded its story with Chapter 166 in the 50th issue of Weekly Young Jump.
The reaction to the ending was mixed, with a majority voicing dissatisfaction over the conclusion. Their frustration stemmed from how quickly the final arc seemed to unfold, claiming that it felt rushed and poorly executed.
