Netflix’s LEGO One Piece Animated Special Reveals New Trailer, Release Date, Cast & More Details

Netflix unveiled a new trailer and teaser visual for its upcoming LEGO ONE PIECE animated special, confirming that the two-part project will premiere worldwide on Sep 29.

The special adapts the story of Netflix’s live-action ONE PIECE into a LEGO adventure, with Usopp taking over as narrator and putting his own wildly exaggerated spin on the Straw Hat Pirates’ early exploits.

Set shortly after Chopper joins the crew on Drum Island, the special follows Usopp as he recounts the crew’s journey through the East Blue to his newest crewmate.

With Chopper unaware of everything that happened before they met, Usopp transforms himself into the hero of every story, claiming credit for everything from inspiring the search for the One Piece treasure to leading the crew toward the Grand Line.

The trailer also pokes fun at iconic moments from the saga, including encounters with Arlong and Dracule Mihawk, while Luffy and Zoro call out Usopp’s version of events at one point.

Netflix also confirmed that the English dub reunites the live-action ONE PIECE cast, with Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Taz Skylar, Jacob Romero, and Mikaela Hoover reprising their respective roles as Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Usopp, and Chopper.

The Japanese version similarly brings back the anime voice cast, including Mayumi Tanaka, Kappei Yamaguchi, Kazuya Nakai, Akemi Okamura, Hiroaki Hirata, and Ikue Otani.

LEGO ONE PIECE is produced through a partnership between the LEGO Group, Shueisha, and Vancouver-based Atomic Cartoons, with Eiichiro Oda executive producing alongside Jill Wilfert, Keith Malone, and Lars Danielsen for LEGO, as well as Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements for Tomorrow Studios.
