A new My Hero Academia anime episode was officially announced during Jump Festa 2026 on Dec. 20, with the special set to air on May 2, 2026.

Titled “More,” the episode will adapt chapter 431, an epilogue story written and illustrated by series creator Kohei Horikoshi that was included in the manga’s final volume.

Set eight years after Class 1-A’s graduation from U.A. High School, “More” depicts Izuku Midoriya and his former classmates as established professional heroes.

The new episode, numbered 170 + 1, is part of the My Hero Academia anime’s 10th anniversary projects, marking a decade since the TV adaptation first premiered in April 2016.

A new visual was revealed to commemorate the announcement.

In addition to this, the franchise also revealed a concert project centered on its music. My Hero Academia in Concert will feature live performances of background music composed by Yuki Hayashi, who has scored the TV anime, theatrical films, and original animation projects.

The concert will include selected tracks from the more than 200 pieces Hayashi has composed for the franchise, paired with scenes from the anime.

The concert will begin on May 30, 2026, at Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall, with additional performances planned overseas.

Ticket sales for the Japanese performances have begun, with details on international dates to be announced later.

The newly announced episode and concert project are only part of the anniversary lineup, with additional projects and events planned to be revealed at a later date.

Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 to August 2024 and has surpassed 100 million copies in circulation worldwide. The anime adaptation concluded with its eighth season on Dec 18.
