The official Twitter account of Weekly Shonen Jump had a major announcement regarding Hunter x Hunter manga on Oct 11, 2022.

Hunter x Hunter is officially returning with new chapters after nearly four years since it went on a hiatus in 2019. The manga will resume on Oct 24, 2022, in Japan with chapter 391, while simultaneously releasing the upcoming chapters worldwide starting Oct 23, 2022, on Shonen Jump.

It was earlier revealed that the manga release Volume 37 on Nov 4, 2022.

Hunter x Hunter author Yoshihiro Togashi recently revealed in his tweet on Sep 5, 2022, that he had finished working on volume 38 of the manga.

The author is referring to Hunter x Hunter chapters 391 – 400, which will make up volume 38 of the manga. He has consistently been updating the status of these chapters on his official twitter account.

Since volume 25, each volume of Hunter x Hunter manga consistently had 10 chapters in them. Currently 36 volumes of the manga have been published.

Togashi is also working on the drafts of chapters 401-410 of Hunter x Hunter.

Hunter × Hunter is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 1998, although the manga has frequently gone on extended hiatuses since 2006. Its chapters have been collected in 36 tankōbon volumes as of October 2018.

The manga currently has published 390 chapters.

Hunter × Hunter was adapted into a 62-episode anime television series produced by Nippon Animation and directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, which ran on Fuji Television from October 1999 to March 2001. Three separate original video animations (OVAs) totaling 30 episodes were subsequently produced by Nippon Animation and released in Japan from 2002 to 2004.

A second anime television series by Madhouse aired on Nippon Television from October 2011 to September 2014, totaling 148 episodes, with two animated theatrical films released in 2013.
