Higehiro To Release Spin-Off Manga Centered Around Airi Gotou

The 306-page first volume is scheduled for release on April 28 in Japan.

Publishing giant Kadokawa will release a new spin-off novel for the Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway franchise titled, Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou: Another Side Story – Airi Gotou.

The two-volume novel centered around the character Airi Gotou will be written by Shimesaba and illustrated by Booota .

The 306-page first volume is scheduled to release on April 28 in Japan. No date has been set for Volume 2.

Kadokawa describes the novels as:

Are my feelings ‘true’? An additional story about Airi Gotou’s love life. Yoshida and Gotou know that they “like” each other. When Sayu returns to her home in Hokkaido and returns to her normal life, these two are once again aware of her feelings for each other. Gotou then invites Yoshida on a trip to Kyoto, with the aim of fulfilling her promise to “be the one to confess the second time”.

The Higehiro franchise had released a spin-off novel in December 2021 centering on the character, Yuzuha Mishima.

Higehiro is a Japanese romantic comedy light novel series written by Shimesaba and illustrated by booota. It was serialized online between March 2017 and August 2018 on Kadokawa’s user-generated novel publishing website Kakuyomu. It was later published by Kadokawa Shoten with five volumes between February 2018 and June 2021 under their Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint.

A manga adaptation with art by Imaru Adachi has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s shōnen manga magazine Monthly Shōnen Ace since November 2018. The light novel is licensed in North America by Kadokawa and Yen Press. The manga is licensed by One Peace Books. An anime television series adaptation by Project No.9 aired from April to June 2021.
