The official YouTube channel of Cartoon Network has posted a new visual and promotional video in April 2022, announcing that Dragon Ball Super TV anime will start airing in India from May 2022.
Ankur Javeri, the voice actor, will play Goku in the Dragon Ball Super series. He previously voiced Goku in the Dragon Ball Z series’ Hindi dub.
He posted on Instagram last week about working on the Hindi dub for the anime.
The official Instagram account and YouTube channel of Cartoon Network had previously posted a new video on March 30, 2022, which revealed that episodes of Dragon Ball Super and Digimon Adventure including other upcoming titles will start airing on the channel in Summer 2022.
Cartoon Network started rolling out new content from March 30 under the new brand positioning ‘Redraw Your World’.
For starters the channel will showcase Ekans – Ek Se Badhkar Snake, Dragon Ball Super, Digimon Adventure, Lamput, The Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10, DC Super Hero Girls, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and Tom and Jerry.
The episodes will be broadcast in English as well as regional languages including Hindi, Tamil, and Telegu in India.
Dragon Ball Super is a Japanese manga series written by Akira Toriyama and illustrated by Toyotarou. A sequel to Toriyama’s original Dragon Ball manga, it follows the adventures of Goku and friends during the ten-year time skip after the defeat of Majin Buu.
It began serialization in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine V Jump in June 2015. The manga is published in English by Viz Media and simulpublished by Shueisha on their Manga Plus platform.
A 131-episode anime television series adaptation produced by Toei Animation aired in Japan from July 2015 to March 2018. A sequel film, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, was released in December 2018 and became the highest-grossing anime film of the franchise. A second film, Super Hero, will release in June 2022.
