Streaming platform Crunchyroll announced on May 1, 2024, that they have raised subscription price for Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan tiers in select countries, marking its first pricing adjustments since 2019.
This change is attributed to the platform’s continuous to investment in expanding its content library, introducing additional services, and enhancing subscriber benefits.
The revised pricing will affect subscribers in Argentina, Colombia, France, Portugal, the United States, and several other countries. In the United States, the Mega Fan tier will see an increase to $11.99 per month, up from $9.99, while the Ultimate Fan tier will be priced at $15.99 per month, up from $14.99. The Fan tier will remain unchanged at $7.99 per month.
Additionally, Crunchyroll has modified its free-trial period from 14 days to seven days of free viewing.
The ad-supported option on Crunchyroll will remain unaffected, allowing fans to enjoy over 1,000 hours of anime content for free.

Fan Tier

Ultimate Fan Tier
- $15.99/month
- 15% off select products at the Crunchyroll Store
- Free U.S. shipping on all purchases at the Crunchyroll Store
- Access to a growing library of games via Crunchyroll Game Vault
- Stream on up to six devices simultaneously
- Offline viewing
- Early access to pre-orders and exclusives
- Ability to order convention exclusives online
- An exclusive swag bag after 12 consecutive months of subscribing to Crunchyroll
According to Crunchyroll, the pricing adjustments reflect the platform’s commitment to providing a diverse range of content to its audience, with its catalog now boasting more than 45,000 episodes across 1,400 series and films. With such an expansive collection, it would take nearly two years to watch everything available on Crunchyroll.
