The final results of the second WORLD TOP 100 (WT100) character popularity poll for One Piece was revealed on Aug 23, the second day of One Piece Day’26 event being held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
Monkey D. Luffy was once again voted the most popular One Piece character in the world for the second time in a row, while Roronoa Zoro and Sanji took the second and third spots, respectively.
Nami ranked fourth, followed by Trafalgar D. Water Law at No. 5 and Nico Robin at No. 6.
The poll was held five years after the first WT100 in 2021, which commemorated the One Piece manga reaching 1,000 chapters.
The 2026 poll was open to fans worldwide, with voting taking place from March through June. The rankings from No. 100 through No. 31 were revealed on Aug 22, with the top 30 announced during a stage event on Aug 23.

During the event, an illustration of Luffy wearing a special WT100 outfit drawn by series creator Eiichiro Oda was unveiled. The illustration will appear on the cover of Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 39, which releases Aug. 24.
Oda’s illustrations of the top 30 characters will also be featured as connectable posters included as bound-in supplements across three consecutive issues of Weekly Shonen Jump beginning with the issue released in December 2026. Fans will need all three issues to complete the poster.
The newly drawn illustrations will also be featured on various One Piece merchandise.
Additionally, the top 30 characters will receive a project titled “Tell Us, Oda! New Information on the TOP 30 Characters!!” Fans can submit questions about the characters by email or postcard until Sept 30 at 11:59 p.m. JST.
Selected questions and Oda’s answers will be published in Weekly Shonen Jump and One Piece magazine vol. 22.
