The official website of Vinland Saga anime revealed a brand new trailer for its season 2, previewing the opening theme song on Oct 24, 2022.

The opening theme is “River,” performed by Anonymouz.

Vinland Saga Season 2 will be released in Japan on Jan 9, 2023, and will be broadcast every Monday.

It will be streamed on Netflix, Crunchyroll and others outside Japan.

Moreover the site also released the comments by the opening theme artist of season 2, Anonymouz.

When I started watching this work, my heart was stolen in no time. While writing this song, I thought of Thorfinn, who has lost his only purpose and is drifting into an unknown world while facing love and pain. Overlapping the light and shadow that I have inside myself, I put my thoughts into the song. I am very honored to be a part of the work that I love. Season 2 of the anime is confirmed to have 24 episodes. Though the studio in charge of animating Vinland Saga Season 2 changed from WIT to MAPPA, the staff working on the anime is same as Season 1.

Vinland Saga is a Japanese historical manga series written and illustrated by Makoto Yukimura. The series is published by Kodansha and was first serialized in the youth-targeted Weekly Shōnen Magazine before moving to the monthly manga magazine Monthly Afternoon, aimed at young adult men.

As of July 2021, the series has been compiled into twenty-five bound volumes. Vinland Saga has also been licensed for English-language publication by Kodansha USA.

An anime adaptation by WIT Studio premiered on July 7, 2019, to December 29, 2019, consisting of 24 episodes.
