Web publisher Tapas announced on Monday, Apr 4, 2022, that popular webtoon Solo Leveling will return soon with special episodes. The announcement suggests the webtoon is on a hiatus after the series ended.
Dear Readers,
Thank you for your continued support of <Solo Leveling!> The main story has come to an end and so we will be taking a hiatus before returning with special episodes at a later date! Thank you and we’ll see you again!

Fans anticipate that these special chapters will bring a better conclusion to the Solo Leveling story, as well as an additional 20-25 chapters to the webtoon.
Solo Leveling webtoon’s illustrator, Jang-Sung-Rak (aka DUBU), posted an update on Dec 29, 2021, revealing the series has come to an end after 179 chapters.
The final chapter was posted on Dec 29, 2021, via the KakaoPage service.
Solo Leveling , also alternatively translated as Only I Level Up, is a South Korean web novel written by Chugong. It started serializing in Kakao’s digital comic and fiction platform KakaoPage on July 25, 2016, and was later published by D&C Media under their Papyrus label on Nov 4, 2016.
The web novel ended in 2018, after 270 chapters, compiled into 14 volumes. It is licensed in English, but under the Only I Level Up title.
The webtoon adaptation by Jang-Sung-Rak (aka Dubu), the CEO of Redice Studio, originally started on KakaoPage in Korea and has 2 seasons. In addition to Webnovel, Tappytoon and PocketComics also offer it in English. Yen Press licensed the webtoon and published a volume in paperback format earlier this year. In addition to the webtoon, a game is also in development, along with a drama adaptation.
