One Piece Film Red Earns 5 Billion Yen As Of Saturday

The movie has already earned 78% more than its predecessor One Piece Stampede movie.

The One Piece Film Red has earned over 5 billion yen as of Saturday. It has sold over 3.6 million tickets. The news was announced at a stage greeting event in a screening at Tokyo’s Marunouchi Toei theatre.

The movie has already earned 78% more than its predecessor One Piece Stampede movie.

The One Piece Film Red is released in IMAX, MX4D, 4DX, and Dolby Atmos. The movie will be released in US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand this fall and will release in India in October.

The movie will be available in Japanese audio with English subtitles as well as in English dub.

One Piece Film: Red, which is the fourth instalment in the One Piece Film franchise, is set to release in Japan on Aug 6, 2022.

The movie’s world premiere will however be held on July 22, which also celebrated as the One Piece Day

Goro Taniguchi returns to the franchise for the first time since 1998 to direct One Piece Film: Red. Tsutomu Kuroiwa will be in charge of the screenplay. TOEI Animation is animating the film with original author Eiichiro Oda serving as executive producer.

The movie features and centers on the mysterious character Uta, who is teased to be Shanks daughter in the teaser. Uta’s character design was revealed on March 28, 2022. 

One Piece Film: Red also unveiled the cast for the Red Haired Pirates and character visuals for the marines and the world government characters recently.
