One Piece Film Red Unveils Teases New Character In Latest Visual

The visual reads, "Hey Luffy, stop being a pirate!"

The One Piece News -News Coo Online- livestream commemorating the franchise’s 25th anniversary this year unveiled the first character poster for the ONE PIECE FILM RED on Mar 28, 2022, featuring the mysterious character that was revealed in the original teaser trailer.

It also reveals a title for the poster in Japanese text which reads “Hey Luffy, stop being a pirate!”

One Piece Film: Red will release on Aug 6, 2022 in Japan. According to the teaser, the release schedule may differ in other countries depending on their location.

In addition, the live stream also revealed information about Peter Gadiot, who is currently playing Adam in the Showtime series Yellowjackets, will be taking on the role of Shanks.

Additionally, Eiichiro Oda‘s One Piece has revealed a new logo for the franchise for the 25th anniversary.

The franchise also introduced new card designs for the upcoming One Piece Card Game. And they also unveiled the first JRPG One Piece Odyssey, a brand new game in the series. More information on the other projects will be announced at a later date.

The anime adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga premiered in 1999.

One Piece was the best-selling manga for eleven consecutive years from 2008 to 2018, and is the only manga that had an initial print of volumes of above 3 million continuously for more than 10 years, as well as the only one that had achieved more than 1 million copies sold in all of its 100 published tankōbon volumes.

The 100th manga volume shipped on Sept 3, 2021. Oda published the 1,000th chapter in this year’s combined 5th/6th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on Jan 4, 2022.

As of July 2021, One Piece had over 490 million copies in circulation in 58 countries and regions worldwide, making it the best-selling manga series in history, and the best-selling comic series printed in book volume. It is also one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time.
