Leaks of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation‘s newest spin-off Mushoku Tensei: Eris wa Honki de Kiba wo Togu (Eris Sharpens Her Fangs) which surfaced online, shows heavy censorship of the erotic content parts.
Among the disclosed panels, a panty-shot of Eris has been covered with a black rectangle, and another shot featuring a girl lying on the ground after being beaten by Eris also has similar censorship.
The reason for restricting this “freedom of expression” has not been stated by the publication.
Eris Gaiden’s spin-off manga started serialization on Square Enix’s Gangan Online magazine app and the possible reason for such censorship is due to content’s expression conflicting with the app’s guidelines.
Nevertheless, fans speculate there is a chance that the physical copies (if released) will be censorship-free.
Eris Sharpens Her Fangs follows Eris during her travels after being separated from Rudeus at the end of the 6th volume/first season.
The manga is penned by Okano Yuu and Higake Take will serve as the illustrator with Rifujin na Magonote credited as the original creator.
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is a Japanese light novel series by Rifujin na Magonote about a jobless and hopeless man who reincarnates in a fantasy world while keeping his memories, determined to live his new life without regrets.
An anime television series adaptation by Studio Bind premiered in January 2021. The second half of the same season premiered in October 2021.
Season 2 of the anime series is officially in production and more information is expected to come at a later date.
