Kadokawa recently released the third trailer of the Made in Abyss: The Sun Blazes Upon the Golden City anime. In the trailer it is revealed that the anime will air from July 6, 2022 in Japan. The series will air on AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS11, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, and Saga TV.

The trailer focuses on the journey of the Ganja group.

The anime will be streamed by HiDive.

In the second trailer, opening song “Katachi” by Riko Azuna was previewed. The ending song “Endless Embrace,” performed by MYTH & ROID, was also announced in it.

The anime’s official website also revealed new cast members for the second season. Wherein, Hiroki Gotou will portray the character of Majikaja, Kana Ichinose as Maa-san, Kimiko Saitou as Moogie, Ryouta Takeuchi as Gaburoon, Inori Minase as Prushka and Toshiyuki Morikawa as Bondrewd.

The technical staff adds Yuka Kurida as Co-character designer. Teru Sekiguchi as Co-Art Director. However, Kou Yoshinari is no longer mentioned as Creature Designer.

The season 2 of the anime is produced by Kinema Citrus.

The returning staff for season 2 of the anime includes Masayuki Kojima as director. Hitoshi Haga will be assistant director. Hideyuki Kurata will be the scriptwriter and Kazuchika Kise will serve as the character designer. Joining them will be Takeshi Takakura as design leader, along with Osamu Masuyama as art director, Misao Yamashita as color designer, Tsunetaka Ema as photography director and Kevin Penkin as music composer.

The cast includes:

• Shiori Izawa as Nanachi
• Misaki Kuno as Faputa
• Yuka Terasaki as Vueko
• Hiroaki Hirata as Wazukyan

The Made in Abyss manga is made by Akihito Tsukushi and was published under Bamboo Comics label. It began serializing in 2012.

The manga received an anime adaptation in 2017. It was followed by two compilation movies Made In Abyss: Journey’s Dawn and Made In Abyss: Wandering Twilight, which were released in January 2019, and a sequel movie, titled Made In Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul, which released in Japan on January 2020.

The “Abyss” is the last unexplored region, an enormous and treacherous cave system filled with ancient relics and strange creatures.
