A huge banner (tifo) of One Piece protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, was spotted at the UEFA Champions League clash between the titans of footballing world, Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Bayern Munich.
The banner, which was brought by PSG fans to the match, shows Luffy throwing punches in one of his iconic moves. One of the punches extends and hits the logo of Bayern Munich, which was the fans way of supporting their team to defeat their opponents.
You can catch a glimpse of the banner in the image and video below!
However, Luffy’s punch did not seem to work as Bayern came out winners in the contest.
The showcase of Luffy’s banner should not come as a surprise as France is the second highest consumer of manga across the globe after Japan themselves. And this is not the first time an anime character had made it to a tifo at a crunch match.
PSG fans had previously erected a banner of Goku at a couple of their matches.
