The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie, released in India today, has earned INR 1.5 Cr (approximately $190,000 USD) and has sold approximately 50,000 tickets till now on the first day. The walk-in bookings are yet undisclosed.
The total box office collection of the movie for 1st day is said to reach INR ₹2 Cr. i.e. approximately $250,000 USD, according to Sacnilk.
In addition, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie has overtaken Bollywood new releases like OM of Aditya Roy Kapur. The film has struggled to garner even INR ₹1 Cr. despite having a budget of INR ₹40 Cr, along with South Indian sensation R. Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which is struggling to earn INR ₹75 lacs.

The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie is the 4th Highest earning anime movie in North America, overtaking Dragon Ball Super Broly, as reported by Crunchyroll.
This makes Jujutsu Kaisen 0 8th highest earning anime movie ever, globally, leaving behind Pokemon: The First Movie. Though it still trails Stand By Me Doraemon.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is based on Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, the prequel manga to the main series, Jujutsu Kaisen. It is written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. The manga was serialized in Shueisha’s magazine Jump GIGA from April to July 2017.
After Akutami launched Jujutsu Kaisen in 2018, the series was retroactively retitled Jujutsu Kaisen 0—making it a prequel—and released in a single tankōbon volume in December 2018.
