It has been over 3 years since we last saw Gojo in action in Jujutsu Kaisen manga, barring the bits and pieces that we got in between.

However, JJK chapter 221 had a huge surprise in store for fans as Gojo really got unsealed from the prison realm.

Chapter 220 had hinted at Gojo coming back, but fans didn’t see this coming, given how author Gege Akutami is an expert at subverting expectations.

There were no surprises in how Gojo got unsealed as Hana Kurusu uses Angel’s curse technique, Jacob’s ladder to force open the backdoor of the prison realm.

There were a lot of fans who couldn’t believe what they just witnessed as their favourite character hit the floor running.

Within two pages of Gojo’s unboxing he threatened Kenjaku, roasted Sukuna, and sucker punched Uraume.

Another fan also pointed out that Gojo the most tragic character in Jujutsu Kaisen, stating that even though he just got out of the prison realm he is expected to clean all the mess.

Some were of the opinion that Gojo had some serious death flags around him.
