Gen Oosuka’s supernatural fantasy manga Doron Dororon has come to an end with its 36th chapter in issue #39 of Weekly Shonen Jump, which released on Monday, Aug 29, 2022.
The manga had been serialized in the magazine from November 2021. The chapters of the manga have currently been collected into three volumes. The fourth and fifth volume of will be released on Oct 4, 2022.
The fifth volume will be final volume.
Readers of Doron Dororon complained that its plot hurtled towards a rushed climax. It was taken as an evidence for the manga being axed soon.
There were others who suspected that the author might have been forced to rush the plot.
Doron Dororon is Oosuka’s second manga to be published in Weekly Shonen Jump. His first manga, Golem Hearts, too had a short stint in the magazine, as it ended serialization on February 2018, within 5 months of its start.

Humans are under threat from mysterious monsters called mononoke. Dora Sasaki is unbeatable in a fight, and in order to keep a promise to his deceased mother, he aspires to be an anti-mononoke samurai. However, everything changes when he meets a kind-hearted mononoke named Kusanagi. Welcome to this dark fantasy story of humans and monsters!
