In a tribute to mark the 45th anniversary of Rumiko Takahashi’s manga “Urusei Yatsura,” a collection of celebratory illustrations created by 33 renowned manga artists have been unveiled in Weekly Shonen Sunday Issue #39, which was released on Aug 23, 2023.
Each artist has drawn their own versions of “Urusei Yatsura” characters, which includes not only Lum but also characters like Shutaro Mendo, Ryunosuke, Ten, Cherry, and Ryoko Mendo.

Urusei Yatsura is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. It was serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday from September 1978 to February 1987. Its 366 individual chapters were published in 34 tankobon volumes.
It was adapted into an anime television series produced by Kitty Films and broadcast on Fuji Television affiliates from October 1981, to March 1986, with 194 half-hour episodes.
The new Urusei Yatsura on aired in Japan from Oct 14, 2022. Season 2 of the anime is set to release in January 2024.
