The official Twitter of Comic Market or more commonly known as Comiket, a semi-annual doujinshi convention in Tokyo, announced on Aug 13, 2023, that approximately 260,000 people attended the convention over the course of two days.
This marked a significant increase compared to the previous year’s attendance, thanks to the significant relaxation of restrictions on attendees.
Comiket 99 to 101 had limited the number of attendees due to the spread of the COVID-19. Compared to the previous Comiket 101, which had about 180,000 attendees over two days, the attendance of Comiket 102 was increased by about 80,000 people.

Comic Market, more commonly known as Comiket, is a semiannual doujinshi convention in Tokyo, Japan. A grassroots market focused on the sale of doujin (self-published) works, Comiket is a not-for-profit fan convention administered by the volunteer-run Comic Market Preparatory Committee (ComiketPC).
Inaugurated on 21 Dec 1975 with an estimated 700 attendees, Comiket has since grown to become the largest fan convention in the world, with an estimated turnstile attendance of 750,000 in 2019.
Comiket is typically held at Tokyo Big Sight in August and December, with the two events distinguished as Summer Comic Market and Winter Comic Market respectively.
