This is due to abolishing the guidelines set by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on May 7, 2023. These guidelines were implemented previously during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result of this, Comiket 102 will have a more relaxed attendance policy with no limit to the daily attendance of the visitors. However, measures to ensure safety during the event will continue to be in place.

Comiket 102 will take place on Aug 12-13, 2023, and aims to attract more than 100,000 visitors per day.

As for entry, the attendees will now require either ticket or wristband participation certificate depending on the purpose of the attendance.

More details on the ticket and wristband participation certificate will be revealed on the official sources of Comiket in June 2023.

Comiket 101 had 180,000 visitors on both days i.e. Dec 30 & Dec 31, 2022. The number of visitors were restricted to 90,000 visitors per day due to Covid19.
