The Comic Market (Comiket) 101 event took place in Tokyo and had 180,000 visitors on both days i.e. December 30 & December 31, 2022.

The number of visitors were restricted to 90,000 visitors per day due to Covid19.

The Comiket 100 event that took place in August gathered around 170,000 people on both the days where the number of attendees were limited to 85,000 per day.

The organizers of the event recently announced that the Comiket 102 event will be held on August 12-13, 2023 with the attendance capacity of the event to 120,000 people per day. The audience capacity is subject to changes depending on the government and local regulations.

The one-day attendance record for the event is 210,000 however that was before COVID19. The last comiket before COVID19 was Comiket 97 and it had a footfall of 750,000 attendees on all 3 days.

Comiket celebrated its 100th show in 47 years. The fans graced this event with huge numbers and the official Twitter account of Comiket revealed that number to be over 170,000 people in 2 days.

Each day the footfall was over 85,000 people despite the Typhoon alert on the first day. The staff expected around 160,000 to 180,000 people, the tickets of which were sold in Comiket 99. The reason behind this was the Covid regulations which limited the number of attendees.

Over 10,000 stands were sold which contained doujins, games, books and random things.

Comic Market, more commonly known as Comiket, is a semiannual doujinshi convention, usually held at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan in August and December every year.

A grassroots market focused on the sale of doujin (self-published) works, Comiket is a not-for-profit fan convention administered by the volunteer-run Comic Market Preparatory Committee (ComiketPC). Inaugurated on 21 December 1975 with an estimated 700 attendees, Comiket has since grown to become the largest fan convention in the world.
