The Jump Festa 2026 panel for Bleach, which was held on Dec. 21, 2025, revealed that Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War arc’s final cour, titled The Calamity (Kashintan), will release on July 2026.
The announcement was accompanied by an official trailer and a key visual. The KV features Ichigo and his friends with the tagline saying “To those once called calamities,” suggested by author Tite Kubo himself.
Voice actors Masakazu Morita (Ichigo Kurosaki), Noriaki Sugiyama (Uryu Ishida), Yuki Matsuoka (Orihime Inoue) and Hiroki Yasumoto (Yasutora Chad) were present on stage while the trailer streamed. They all expressed their excitement at the new reveal.

It was also confirmed that the staff members from the previous cour 3 will return to reprise their roles, with Tomohisa Taguchi serving as the chief director Hikaru Murata helming the cour at Pierrot Films. Other staff members include:
- Series Scripts: Tomohisa Taguchi, Masaki Hiramatsu
- Character Design: Masashi Kudo
- Music: Shiro Sagisu
- Chief Animation Directors: Yukio Hasegawa, Kiyoshi Komatsubara, Kumiko Takayanagi
- Action & Effects Animation Directors: Satoshi Sakai, Takashi Hashimoto
Additionally, a lookback project for the Bleach anime was also announced, in which episodes from the Substitute Soul Reaper Arc (the first arc) to the third cour of TYBW arc will be released sequentially on the official YouTube channel of the anime.
The first episode is currently streaming on the channel as part of the rollout. The episode is only available for viewers in Japan.
The initiative, described as a broad-scale project, was confirmed to include the release of new artworks, free streaming access to archival episodes, and a series of retrospective roundtable interviews with the main voice cast of each cour.
The first cour of Bleach: TYBW aired in 2022, more than a decade after the anime had gone on a hiatus. Cour 2 and Cour 3 of TYBW released in the following years, chronicling the story of the Quincy leader Yhwach and his followers trying to take over the Soul Society, with Ichigo and the other Soul Reapers trying to put a stop to his plans.
Thousand Year Blood War is the final arc of the Bleach manga written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. The manga, which originally ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016, has over 130 million copies in circulation.
Kubo has been working closely with the TYBW anime adaptation, which saw Pierrot shifting the format from continuous weekly episodes to seasonals in a bid to offer more quality.
