Tower Of God Anime Episode Count Announced By Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that the heavily promoted Tower of God, which has been adapted from a Korean manhwa will have 13 episodes in it.

The series premiered on April 1st in Japan and South Korea and was simulcast as a part of the Crunchyroll originals slate. The continuous promotion of the anime by Crunchyroll and the high expectations placed on it by the fans of the manhwa made the anime trending within 24 hours of its launch.

Directed by Takashi Sano, Tower of God centers around a boy called Twenty-Fifth Bam, who has spent most of his life trapped beneath a vast and mysterious Tower, with only his close friend, Rachel, to keep him company. When Rachel enters the Tower, Bam manages to open the door into it as well, and faces challenges at each floor of this tower as he tries to find his closest companion.

Though the art style looks a bit different, unique or old fashioned (would remind you of Mamoru Hosoda movies, with roughed up lines, some extra colours and good contrast), Tower of God’s setting is fairly similar to the normal fantasy tropes. magic, an entirely different world and stepwise challenges to overcome before proceeding to the next level.

Tower of God, a groundbreaking series which would certainly increase the awareness about Korean manhwa worldwide, airs every Wednesday on Crunchyroll. Have you watched the first episode of Tower of God, let us know how you felt about the episode in the comments section below!!!
