The official site of Re:Zero Starting Life In Another World announced today the latest theme songs in the second season’s second cour. The artist performing them will be Mayu Maeshima and nonoc. They will be performing the opening and ending theme songs, respectively. The songs are:

• OP theme “Long shot” Mayu Maeshima
• ED theme “Believe in you” nonoc

nonoc has also provided her voice for the first cour of season two with her song Memento. 

Re:Zero is a Japanese light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shin’ichirō Ōtsuka. The series was initially serialized on the website Shōsetsuka ni Narō from 2012 onwards. Twenty-one light novels, as well as four side story volumes and five short story collections, have been published by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J imprint. 

Anime television series season one adaptation by White Fox aired from April 4, 2016, to September 19, 2016. The second season was scheduled to release in April 2020 but was delayed to July 2020 due to Covid19.  The novels and manga are published in English by Yen Press.

The anime series is praised for its “culturally complex world” and for the actions of its characters by critics, globally. The series received awards at the 2015–2016 Newtype Anime Awards and the 2017 Sugoi Japan Awards and was nominated for Anime of the Year at The Anime Awards 2016.

Re:Zero anime is one of the most popular anime this year. The story in season two continues from where it left off in season one. It revolves around the reason why Subaru has his “Return By Death” powers and the debut of the remaining witches. 

The second season cour two will start broadcasting in January 2021.
