The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie gave us a flashback of the life of Jujutsu high school before the current timeline. The movie introduced the lead character Yuta Okkotsu for the first time on screen. Whereas, he was only teased in the season 1 of the manga Jujutsu Kaisen.

In the movie we see Yuta using a sword as his primary weapon to battle which he covers with cursed energy and PROPLICA has bought that sword for us to use to slay curses.

The sword features three vibration gimmicks for the first time in the “PROPLICA” series.

The first “Juuryoku Kome Gimmick” reproduces the power of spells by moving your hand along the blade which can be felt in the vibration of the sword.

The second Zansatsu Gimmick reproduces the recoil at the time of cutting with the sound of cutting when you swing the sword along with the vibration effect.

Whereas the Rika Kengen Gimmick reproduces Rika’s complete manifestation with vibration. It can accessed using Rika’s phrase Come!!! Rika!!!.

In addition, it includes two types of BGM of Okkotsu and Rika along with Zenin Maki, Inumaki Toge, and Panda’s famous lines, and can also reproduce famous scenes in the play.

Furthermore, it comes with a dedicated stand that allows you to display the sword and a special booklet. The price is 14,850 yen including tax.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 had earned US$8.68 million in 2,340 theaters on its opening day on Friday, March 18, 2022, in the United States.

It had crossed the 10 billion yen mark in Japanese box office in 43 days, earning about 10,456,322,400 yen (about US$90.6 million) from 7,603,732 tickets on its 45th day. The movie surpassed Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time to become the highest grossing film at the Japanese-box office that released in 2021.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming the movie in Japanese with subs, and also the English dubbed version. Additionally, it was revealed that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie is also a part of Amazon Prime Video Japan’s catalogue, starting Dec 24, 2022.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is based on Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, the prequel manga to the main series, Jujutsu Kaisen. It is written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. The manga was serialized in Shueisha’s magazine Jump GIGA from April to July 2017.

Megumi Ogata, Kana Hanazawa, Yuuichi Nakamura, Mikako Komatsu, Tomozaku Seki and Kouki Uchiyama voiced Yuta Okkotsu, Rika Orimoto, Gojo Satoru, Maki Zen’in, Panda and Inumaki Toge respectively in the movie version.
