Crunchyroll announced that popular Indian actor Rana Daggubati has joined the cast of Solo Leveling Season 2.
Known for his performances in Baahubali and Ghazi, Daggubati will voice the Ice Elf, Barca, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubs on the anime.
Barca, who is the boss of the Red Gate Dungeon, will be a central antagonist in the new season opposing the protagonist Sung Jinwoo.
Fans will get their first glimpse of Daggubati’s Hindi performance on Dec 6, 2024, when Solo Leveling -ReAwakening, a fan omnibus film, debuts in theaters across India.
The film, which will be available in Hindi, English, and Japanese, combines a recap of the first season and an exclusive preview of the first two episodes of the upcoming second season.

The second season will officially start streaming on Crunchyroll from January 2025.
Daggubati expressed his excitement about taking on the role, stating, “Voicing Barca in Solo Leveling across three languages has been an exciting challenge that I truly enjoyed. Bringing such a complex, powerful character to life allowed me to connect with anime in a way I’ve never done before.”

Adapted from Chugong’s best-selling Korean web novel, Solo Leveling first debuted as a webtoon and manhwa in 2018, with illustrations by DUBU.
The first season of the anime premiered globally on Jan 6, 2024, on Crunchyroll.
Solo Leveling is animated by A-1 Pictures, known for Sword Art Online, with motion graphics by Production I.G. The anime is directed by Shunsuke Nakashige (Sword Art Online), with Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan) composing the music, and contributions from TOMORROW X TOGETHER, a prominent K-pop band.
