The official Twitter account for PUBG Mobile Japan announced on May 11, 2022, that the battle royale shooting game PUBG Mobile will start a global collaboration campaign with the popular anime franchise Neon Genesis Evangelion starting May 14.
The PUBG Mobile x Evangelion collaboration will give players the opportunity to purchase Evangelion’s main character, Shinji Ikari‘s plugsuit skin for their characters.
In addition, on May 19, a “Core Circle” survival battle mode featuring Unit-01 and the 6th Angel will be released on the Erangel terrain.

PUBG Mobile’s collaboration with Evangelion is the game’s second with an anime series; the first was in January with Jujutsu Kaisen in the 1.8 edition. There will be more collaboration with new updates such as Blackpink and more.
Neon Genesis Evangelion is a Japanese mecha anime television series produced by Gainax and animated by Tatsunoko, directed by Hideaki Anno, and broadcast on TV Tokyo from October 1995 to March 1996.
Neon Genesis Evangelion received critical acclaim but also garnered controversy. In 1997, Hideaki Anno and Gainax released the feature film The End of Evangelion, which brought more context to the original ending of the show. A series of four films, titled Rebuild of Evangelion, retelling the events of the series with different plot elements and a new ending, were released between 2007 and 2021.
