The official Twitter account of PUBG announced a special themed collaboration with Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen series, launching on Feb 15, 2022. The announcement was revealed with a new visual featuring Yuji Itadori.
Jujutsu Kaisen x PUBG crossover will feature 4 characters from Jujutsu Kaisen (Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, Satoru Gojo, Megumi Fushiguro), themed weapon skins, and many more exciting features to surprise players.
The game teased fans with a 5-second clip featuring the crest of Tokyo Jujutsu High over PUBG’s map with cursed energy visible along its borders.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018. The Jujutsu Kaisen chapters are collected and published by Shueisha, with eighteen tankōbon volumes released as of December 2021.
The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host.
