The movie will be based on an original story by author Kohei Horikoshi, who will also be handling the character designs and be in charge of general supervision of the movie. The author said that the events of the movie will align with the chronology of the My Hero Academia anime.

“Again, the content will follow the timeline that was broadcast in the TV anime. The society that finally collapsed successfully in the anime will be the setting this time,” Horikoshi’s comment said.

More details, including the plot and the staff will be released on a further date.

The third movie instalment of the franchise, My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission, released in 2021. It was animated by Bones with Kenji Nagasaki helming it.
