It was revealed way back in Jujutsu Kaisen manga that the Geto we see is not the real one. A brain had taken over his body. To be more precise, it is a cursed technique that allows this mysterious person to hop between bodies by switching brains. This mysterious person switched out Getou’s brain for his and is now in control of Getou.

Chapter 90 of Jujutsu Kaisen brought this information to light. After this, theories surrounding the identity of the brain began to make rounds on the internet. There were rumours that Getou probably was not the first person the brain had taken over. There were some fans who theorised that a certain person who was mentioned briefly in the manga before could be another candidate who could be or was under the control of the brain.

And come chapter 134, the series confirmed the theory.

Noritoshi Kamo and the Brain:

The latest chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen revealed that Noritoshi Kamo and Suguru Geto are connected via the brain. Noritoshi Kamo was a Jujutsu Sorceror who lived over 150 years ago (the other Noritoshi Kamo in Kyoto is just his namesake). He was first mentioned in chapter 60 of Jujutsu Kaisen. Noritoshi was remembered as the Evilest Sorcerer in History and a blot on the four great families. He dabbled with the Death Painting Wombs and the woman who gave birth to them. Fans believed that he was somehow related to the mysterious brain that controlled Getou.

The reason? When Noritoshi was first shown in the series, his forehead was hidden. Fans began to speculate that Gege Akutami had purposely decided to hide Noritoshi’s forehead in order to hide the stitch marks which would otherwise have given away a crucial secret.

This led some to believe that Noritoshi Kamo was either the person who was responsible for creating the cursed technique that let users skip body by switching brains. Or Noritoshi himself was controlled by the brain. This theory was confirmed in chapter 134. A traumatized Choso recognized that Getou and Kamo were the same people.

Questions still remain:

While we did get a confirmation that Noritoshi was somehow involved in this mess, it is still unclear if Noritoshi himself is the brain or if both he and Getou were both being controlled by someone else through the brain. The reason why we say this is because both Getou and Noritoshi had the stitch marks on their heads. This means that the brain was present in some form in the old man’s body too.

This makes incline towards the possiblity of Noritoshi too being someone who was being controlled. To add to it, Getou mentions that Noritoshi Kamo was just another name for him.

This only strengthens the theory that ancestor Noritoshi was just another person this brain was controlling. He could be someone who is from the same era as Ryoumen Sukuna. And if that is indeed the case, what could he be planning.
