In an exciting announcement, this year’s ninth issue of Weekly Shonen Jump revealed on Jan 29, 2024, that Haruichi Furudate is set to publish a new one-shot manga for Haikyu!! series.
The new one-shot will comprise of 16 pages, and is scheduled to be published in the magazine’s issue #10 on Feb 5, 2024.
To commemorate the release of the upcoming Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump film, the one-shot will showcase the match between Karasuno High & Nekoma High from a different angle.
Haikyu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump, the first part of the two-part films, will release in Japan on Feb 16, 2023.
Haikyu!! is created by Haruichi Furudate and was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2012 to July 2020. The series has over 55 million copies in circulation. It has 45 volumes containing 405 chapters.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April 2014 to September 2014. The second season aired from October 2015 to March 2016. The third season aired from October 2016 to December 2016.
The season 4 of the series aired in two cours, the first cour aired in January 2020 whereas the second cour aired from October to December 2020.
