Yuki Tabata has shared a heartfelt message reflecting on the decade-long journey of Black Clover, thanking the people who helped bring the manga to life.
The message, included in volume 38 of Black Clover, has begun circulating widely on social media ahead of its Aug 4 release.
In it, Tabata describes the manga as the product of countless people’s efforts and expresses gratitude to those who supported him throughout the series’ run, including the editors, technical staff, graphic designers, printing and distribution teams, his mom, wife, among others.

I’ve come to understand that manga are born thanks to the strength of all kinds of people, and it was by meeting those people that I was able to draw Black Clover.
To all the editors who succeeded one another on the series over the years: I am sincerely sorry for putting you through hell.
Thank you for creating this manga alongside me!
To the entire technical team that worked with me over the years: sorry for wearing you out with the workload.
Thank you for drawing these pages with me!
To everyone in charge of the bound volumes and the graphic designers: sorry for always making you wait.

Tabata launched Black Clover in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2015. After nearly nine years in the magazine, the series transferred to Jump GIGA in December 2023 to accommodate the author’s production schedule.
The manga concluded in May 2026 with chapter 392.
