In yet another exciting revelation at Jump Festa ’24, One Piece panel announced the remake of the long running anime to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the series.

The remake anime is titled ‘THE ONE PIECE‘.

Wit Studio will be producing the remake with a completely new animation, and will start by adapting the East Blue Saga. It will be exclusively streamed on Netflix.

Accompanying the announcement were a teaser trailer and a visual.

Further details including the new staff, cast, and release date are yet to be announced.

One Piece is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation that premiered on Fuji TV in October 1999. It is based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga series of the same name.

Since its premiere in Japan, more than 1,000 episodes have been aired.

Additionally, Toei has developed fourteen animated feature films, one original video animation, and thirteen television specials.

One Piece manga series, written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, has been serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since July 1997, with its individual chapters compiled into 107 tankobon volumes as of November 2023.
