The official twitter account of Shueisha’s Jump J Books revealed on July 17, 2022 that One Piece Film Red‘s novel adaptation will be releasing in Aug 9, 2022, three days after the movie’s release in Japan.
The cover of the novel is a movie poster featuring Shanks, Luffy and Uta, drawn by original mangaka Eiichiro Oda. Jun Esaka will be in charge of the movie’s novelization.
Esaka had previously written multiple novels in the Naruto franchise and also the One Piece Heroines novel.
According to the official twitter account, the novel is for people who want to “carefully read the stories and dialogues”.
The novel is available for pre-booking on Amazon, Rakuten, Omni7 and other online platforms.
The world premiere of One Piece Film Red, which is the fourth instalment in the One Piece Film franchise, will take place on One Piece day on July 22, 2022. The movie will release in Japan on Aug 6, 2022.
Goro Taniguchi returns to the franchise for the first time since 1998 to direct One Piece Film: Red. Tsutomu Kuroiwa will be in charge of the screenplay. Toei Animation is animating the film with original author Eiichiro Oda serving as executive producer.

The movie features and centers on the mysterious character Uta, who is teased to be Shanks daughter in the teaser. Uta’s character design was revealed on March 28, 2022.
