Jujutsu Kaisen manga had been forced to delay its schedule due to Akutami’s poor health in the past too.

On June 10, 2021, Shonen Jump’s official twitter account had revealed that the manga will go on an indefinite hiatus, after chapter 152, due to Akutami’s poor physical condition.

In his note, Akutami said that he did not want to slow down the serialization of the manga, but the editorial staff asked him to take a break to recover his condition. He assured that his illness is not anything serious and that his mental health is also fine.

The series had resumed in August 2021, after being on a break for more than a month.
